KfW Student Loan
The aim of this comprehensive student loan, which has flexible conditions, is to reduce the financial burden on students.
A monthly amount between € 100 and € 650 is paid for a maximum of 14 semesters to help finance students' living expenses. Students must be of age, but 34 years at the most when taking out the loan.

Education Loan
The Education Loan is specifically designed for the final stages at university, for internships or for complementary or postgraduate study. It can be used to finance a monthly amount of € 100, 200 or 300, enabling students to cover some of the costs incurred at a training establishment recognised by the Federal Education and Training Assistance Act (BAföG) for up to 24 months. It is important that you are of age, and 36 years at most.
Advantages of the Education Loan:

- Is granted regardless of your personal and your parents' income
- Is paid in addition to BAföG
- Can be granted several times: new educational stage
- New education loan
- Unscheduled repayments can be made
Repayment:
Loan repayment begins four years after the first payment. The loan is paid back in monthly instalments of € 120. If additional funding is granted for another educational stage, existing repayment instalments are deferred.

BAföG Bank Loan
The BAföG Bank Loan can be awarded to students after the standard period of study, to those who wish to extend their period of study or embark on in-depth/complementary studies. It is important that students are under the age of 30 before embarking on the new education stage. The Education Assistance Office will determine the loan amount.
You may earn up to € 400 per month in addition. If you have any children, you will receive extra support in the form of a fixed childcare allowance.
Advantages of the BAföG Bank Loan:
- No collateral is required
- Can be combined with other forms of income and an Education Loan,
- Moderate repayment terms: from € 105 monthly for up to 22 years
