Changing universities or degree programmes: transfer to a higher semester
Transfers are enabled by the examination board of the respective faculty. Transfers must be completed before you apply to the Service Office for Students, because your application for admission to a higher semester cannot be processed without it.
If the examination board credits you with at least one semester from your previous studies, you will receive written confirmation of this, which must be submitted together with your application for admission.
If you are not credited with at least one semester from your previous studies, you must apply online as a first-year student at Münster University of Applied Sciences.

Placement test for prospective students with knowledge gained outside higher education
The aim of the placement test is to determine whether prospective students have the knowledge and skills required to study the intended degree successfully at Münster University of Applied Sciences, although this knowledge has been acquired outside higher education. After having passed the placement test, prospective students can be admitted to study the respective part of the intended degree programme at Münster University of Applied Sciences, subject to meeting the other matriculation conditions and the regulations for allocating places.
The examination board of the respective degree programme is responsible for organising and carrying out placement tests.
