Professional development and advice for teaching staff
In the second funding period, the Wandelwerk is already implementing a university-wide project for the advancement of teaching, financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Within the "Wandel bewegt 2.0" project, teaching staff at FH Münster are to receive support in managing the permanent change to a competency-based culture of teaching and learning. The wide range of advisory and professional development options, from individual consultation, workshops on higher education didactics, and programmes leading to a certificate means that teaching staff can choose the ideal format to suit their needs.Didactic guidance
The Wandelwerk offers formats such as brief consultations, coaching and job shadowing, giving teaching staff the opportunity to choose from a variety of individual advisory services, tailored to their specific issues and topics.
University Teaching Certificate
FH Münster's "University Teaching Certificate" enables teaching staff to demonstrate that they have successfully participated in basic and advanced workshops on higher education didactics. During the workshops, participants systematically develop and test new teaching ideas and didactic approaches, address problems, and reflect on their own teaching. Teaching staff are given the opportunity to share ideas and information and to develop their higher education didactic skills.
Certificate project for newly appointed professors
The aim of the certificate project is to give newly appointed professors a smooth transition from taking introductory courses on higher education didactics to teaching courses themselves. Following on from the foundation courses in didactics and specific issues from teaching practice, newly appointed professors can implement their own teaching project. A joint meeting is held, offering a space for exchange among colleagues, accompanied by us.
E-Teaching Fellowship
Support in the form of specialist input and exchange among colleagues is offered to all teaching staff seeking to intensify their use of digital media in teaching within FH Münster's e-Teaching Fellowship. The programme encompasses three areas: peer group meetings, seminars and the implementation of a transfer experiment.
Teaching Ideas Workshop
FH Münster's Teaching Ideas Workshop is a demand-oriented professional development series for teaching staff. Within the "Wandel bewegt 2.0" project, professional development courses on the key topics of "digitalisation" and "diversity" are added to the existing range of offers.
Higher Education Didactics Day
Every two years, the Wandelwerk designs and plans a Higher Education Didactics Day for FH Münster teaching staff. Current topics and issues relating to higher education didactics are debated and addressed in discussions, keynote speeches and workshops. The event gives teaching staff the opportunity to share ideas and information, and highlights specific approaches of good teaching across disciplines.
Curriculum Workshop
By offering the Curriculum Workshop format, the Higher Education Didactics team helps schools/departments or work groups to redesign and adapt degree programmes. Every Curriculum Workshop is an individual development process that we accompany as the context requires.
