Enjoymnent from the Muenster Region in the Tecklenburger Land

The project that has started in May 2012 aims for the market development for regional food. As a follow-up project to "Regional Product Variety in Canteen Kitchens in the Steinfurt District" in the LEADER process of the Steinfurt District, the focus here lies on community catering as well. Project partners are canteen kitchens from Tecklenburger Land. In collaboration with the Agenda 21 office of the Steinfurt district, the use of regional products is to be increased in the nine participating project kitchens.

Products from the Muenster Region - Possible in Canteen Kitchens Too

"Regional Product Variety in Canteen Kitchens" - the LEADER* project that has started September 2009 - brings products from the Muenster region onto the plates of the eight participating canteen kitchens in the Steinfurt district. Both theoretically and practically, the heads of the participating kitchens and their suppliers will become acquainted with what regional foods have to offer and how they make different goals on the way to sustainable catering achievable. The networking event of the LEADER projects has proven the project to be well received: the projects ranks third place based on the guests' assessment.
