14-15.11.2019 | Newcastle upon Tyne

Eva - research associate at S2BMRC and PhD Candidate at FH Münster and VU Amsterdam - presented a working paper on her research at the isbe 2019. She engaged in scientific discussion and engaged in conversations with practitioners such as entrepreneurs.

The conference took place in Newcastle, UK.  Original and creative interpretations of the conference theme turned out to delightful experiences for all participants. Locations with history and research topics of the future seemed to blend well and introduced a vibrant kick-off of this conference.

In her scientific presentation about science-to-society, Eva introduced a psychological methodology of experimentation on incentivizing academics to collaborate with society. Interestingly, a ground is being established for these sorts of methods, and researchers are bringing in methods from psychology into business research. In the isbe 2019 conference, this interdisciplinary field of business and psychology received special attention in a workshop on 'opportunities for psychology in entrepreneurship research' hosted by Dr Sukanlaya Sawang.

Gideon Maas - adjunct Scientific Fellow at S2BMRC - also attended the conference as one of the organizers. He and his isbe colleagues hosted a remarkable event and brought together an excellent community of researchers and practitioners.

The conference was inspiring with striking questions about methodologies as well as policy recommendations and leaves us with food for thought.
