22 November 2021 | Münster
After one year of conceptualising intellectual outputs in the Erasmus+ Strategic Alliances Project "Managing Digital Transformation", the project partners came together for a transnational project meeting in our S2BMRC office in Münster to discuss the status-quo and develop next steps. Due to the current Covid situation, the event was held in a hybrid format, giving our partners the flexibility to decide whether to join in person or online. The meeting was facilitated through interactive sessions via online whiteboard templates to enable participation for all partners.
About the project
As new and emerging digital disruptive technologies - such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Social Media, Big Data, Smart Devices, Internet of Things (IoT) - create new business challenges and change the traditional value creation paradigm, industry 4.0 presents organizations with challenging problems requiring new approaches and solutions. Given this situation, the project addresses the shortage of 'digital leaders' by developing a 30 ECTS programme (EQF 5-7) called 'Managing Digital Transformation' (MDT). The program will be designed for students and professionals with a high interest in entrepreneurship and management. To provide a comprehensive course programme, it is subdivided into 6 specialisations of each 5 ECTS which will be coming together as the module "Digital Transformation: A Changing Society":
- Changing Society
- Data-driven world
- E-Skills
- Business Models
- Leaderships
- Challenges
Led by the University of Twente, each partner tackles one of these topics and develops MOOCs and a capstone project for training purposes. The consortium consists of highly recognized experts in the field of digital transformation, change management, online learning, digital business, public management and innovation. Next to the lead partner, the consortium includes the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (Portugal), Athens University of Economics and Business (Greece), ACEEU GmbH (Germany), Saxion University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands), EIT KIC Urban Mobility (Spain), and the FH Münster University of Applied Sciences represented by S2BMRC.
About the meeting
Organised by Judith Helmer and Marie Cermann from the S2BMRC team, the consortium met on Monday morning, the 22nd of November, for a day full of discussions. On Sunday evening, the offline participants in Münster already had the chance to get together for a dinner. After enjoying the evening together, the project team started motivated into the day spending the morning on the further development of the intellectual outputs with the aim to capture their main elements and creating synergies between them. After the lunch break, we continued with a wrap up and a definition of next steps related to the specialisations. This was followed by a discussion of platform decisions, methodological requirements, and further business model developments. The meeting ended at 4 pm. Over the course of the next year, each partner will work on the development of the course material. The next transnational project meeting will follow in summer 2022.
