1. Erasmus+ Alliances for Innovation "DigiFABS - Empowering Digital Change Agents in Food and Beverage SMEs" (Project Manager & Researcher). The aim of DigiFABS is to address digital transformation challenges in the Food and Beverage SME sector across Europe. This collaborative initiative involves partners from seven countries who are dedicated to fostering digital innovation. The primary goal is to empower SMEs by training students, educators, and SME employees regarding skills needed as Responsible Dynamic Digital Change Agents (RDDCAs). Through the development of a specialized DigiFABS course program, participants will gain the skills to (a) sense new digital opportunities beyond conventional practices, (b) seize these opportunities within the specific context of a company, and (c) transform these opportunities by guiding the change process. 2. NRW Excellence Center "REACH - EUREGIO Start-up Center" (Researcher) From science to start-up - The start-up center supports students and scientists in realising their early-stage start-up ideas through a comprehensive programme of coaching, scouting, networking, research and teaching. As an academic researcher, I am joining the research team at REACH to push forward research topics as well as teaching and research fundings related to entrepreneurship. 3. FH Münster Wandelfonds Project "Blueprint for Impact" (Project Manager & Researcher) At Blueprint for Impact, we believe sustainability is not just a goal - It is an amazing opportunity to create lasting change. Our mission is to foster collaboration, bridging gaps between research, teaching, and sustainability projects. By developing an interdisciplinary teaching framework and an interactive map of sustainability initiatives for Münster, we aim to create stronger connections, spark innovative solutions, and ensure that sustainability thrives in the long run. 4. FH Münster Project "Change Lab" (Supervisor & Lecturer) It's time to create impactful, societal change through science - Founded as a non-profit student initiative, Change Lab now engages various societal stakeholders in collaborative projects to drive impactful societal change. It provides an open discussion forum, drives community engagement, enables science with society, and achieves direct societal impact. In our current project, we collaborate with the local climate community in Saerbeck and the Maximilian-Kolbe-Gesamtschule. FH Münster students act as research mentors, teaching pupils the principles of scientific research through Design Thinking. Over one year, pupils plan and execute their own research projects on sustainability issues. Finished projects: 1. Erasmus+ Strategic Alliances Project "Managing Digital Transformation" (Project Manager). Aim: Developing a holistic European digital academy of 30 ECTS on "Managing Digital Transformation". Within this academy, students on adcanved levels as well as young aspiring professionals are trained to become responsible digital change agents. Therefore, the academy provides specialised courses on (a) Digital Transformations - A Changing Society, (b) Data-driven World, (c) Boost Your Digital Skills, (d) Reimagine Organisations - Transformation of Business Models, (e) Digital Transformation Leadership, and (f) Digital Transformation Challenges. Judith Helmer: "I am passionate about issues related to digital transformation on different levels - in society, markets, ecosystems, business, and individuals. While digital transformation has for long been treated as a buzzword and still partially appears as a black box, my main motivation is to deep dive into scientific knowledge and practical applications to uncover how digital transformation unfolds and how it can be proactively as well as effectively and efficiently applied now and in the future.
Consequently, I am interested in research on market-shaping, digital transformation / digitalisation, and creativity / innovation".
